I can really recommend this place! The breakfast and dinner is included in the rate, food is amazing! The host Elma and Mark is wonderful. Property has wifi, lounge to... read more relax in and fridge where you can buy soda/beer/wine all day. We stayed here for 1 week, and will absolutely come back. We rentet bike from Elma and Mark, much easier then taking your own bike from home. Mark helped us every morning to make a bike route, gave us good tips and recommodations. We did 500k distance and 10k climbing in a week, a lot of fun and the pyrenees is a huge adventure! We loved to meet new people every day from rest of the world at the lodge. Thanks for everything!

Simply superb.
For cyclists this is an ideal base for a week (or more) of exploring the Pyrénées Ariégeoises. The climbs and views are beautiful, challenging, but accessible -... read more with plenty of coffee stops all around. The route book Mark has put together has some excellent suggestions and local knowledge is helpful when planning that big ride. The Tour comes through frequently so although none of the 'Big' names climbs are right next door you will still be riding where the pros have been - and see their names chalked on the road! Make sure to try the Col de Port TT as well. Bike service facilities for storage and maintenance were great, nice and cool as well as secure - so feel free to bring your own machine and assemble on site.
We had two rooms during our stay, both of which were warm and comfortable whilst retaining that French charm. Showers in particular were hot and powerful which is just what you need after a tough day. Also excellent is the well stocked honesty bar, with Leffe, Kronenbourg, Hoegaarden and Pelforth as well as soft drinks and wine should you want it.
Later in the evening be prepared for a treat as Elma serves up a wonderful three course meal with wine and water, plus coffee and maybe a liqueur as well! We ate extremely well - and breakfast is good too.
Hopefully we will be back again in the future as this was a special venue.

Visiting the Ariege confirmed my impression that France is the best place in the World to live. Beautiful scenery, quiet roads and, even at the height of summer, very few... read more crowds.
Having said that don’t expect cool bars or elegant restaurants- in fact if you don’t hike or cycle I think you’d be rather bored.
We went to cycle. Massive nightmares of climbs, descents the stuff of which dreams are made.
We had a great time. Lots of heavenly carbs for breakfast and hearty three course dinners washed down by local (I think) red wine. We ate outside with the other guests- we particularly enjoyed baiting the Aussies over the football results. Honesty book for beer. What was not to like? I guess the answer to that is the lack of aircon which is why I’ve given 4 rather than 5 stars. I’d certainly go back though More
